Ute Lakes Fishing and Recreation Club is a private, gated community, of 40 cabins. At an elevation of 9,200 feet, we are nestled against Pike National Forest in beautiful Divide, Colorado.

• Stage II Fire Ban remains in effect:

  Although Teller County has received some encouraging moisture in recent days, at the most recent Wildfire Council Meeting, the Fire Marshal and fire chiefs reported that overall fuel moisture levels have not recovered sufficiently to safely lift restrictions. Surface moisture dries quickly, and deeper fuels – the ones that drive fast moving wildfires – remain well below safe thresholds.

  For that reason, the existing fire ban will stay in place until conditions show sustained improvement.
